Vera Smart Healthcare gets $20 million from US-based angel investors and venture capitalists
Hyderabad: Vera Smart Healthcare, with a fleet of more than 150 high-end medical vehicles and ambulances, has raised $20 million from US-based angel investors and venture capitalists, taking the total fund raised to $60 million.The Hyderabad-based healthcare services provider will deploy the latest round’s proceeds to add 20 more new healthcare services that would include affordable remote health services, home-based tests and diagnostics, virtual doctor care, medical delivery and nutrition consultation.Apart from plans to add 100 more new smart Covid and non-Covid ambulances to its fleet for medical emergencies, the company also plans partnerships with hospitals to offer unrestricted subsidised hospitalisation to its subscribers.Vera Smart said on Thursday it plans to add new healthcare services under the ‘V-Cube’ brand over the next six months across Indian cities. It has already partnered with a few hi-speciality hospitals and acquired 1,500 beds to offer unrestricted subsidised hospitalisation to its subscribers.The healthcare service provider is also planning to introduce an offer of instalment payments facility system to the underprivileged to settle the treatment bills.It will also add 100 new smart ambulances to its fleet for medical emergencies wherein the new healthcare services it plans to provide free ambulance services in partnerships with hospitals and proprietary intelligent monitoring analysis service quarantine (iMASQ) services to offer regular non-Covid tests to citizens.
